          January Snow Adventures
                                       At Tryon Farm

It was a sunny, cold afternoon when we decided to take on the biggest challenge: sledding over my grandparents house at Tryon Farm.  First, we had to get geared up for the big adventure ahead. Gloves, snow pants, boots, scarves were all very necessary for this activity. After we all got covered up, everybody felt like big marshmallows. We walked out the door to the cold, wintery day. A sharp breeze nearly took me off my feet, but I was stronger than that one silly little breeze. We climbed and struggled up the very snowy hill.  We all made it to the top and spent a few moments looking out over the beautiful farm and then we took our first leaps into the unknown. Screams and shouts came from my little cousin Max and my brother Gabe as they tumbled off the sled and hit the deep powdery snow. We were relieved to see a distant thumbs up showing that they were okay so the next person could take their seat on the smooth, green sled. My Aunt Amy sat down and almost fell off before even going down the hill. We all gave her a big push . . . . . . and her screams got farther and farther away. Then it was finally my turn! I readied myself for the speed and the wind. I got a decent push and I was on my way down my grandparents house.  It was funny to think I was sledding down a house!  Can't wait for it to snow again...
